

Attorney-at-law Ivanka Emilova Georgieva

She graduated from the master’s program in Law at the Faculty of Law of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". She has a diploma for completing a course in the International Master's Program "EU Law" at the same university.
She has been a lawyer since 1993, with continuous legal experience. She is entered under № 1300002510 in the register of the SAC. She is a representative before administrative and special jurisdictions and a legal representative with the right to practice before all courts in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Since 2006, she has been a mediator, registered in the Central Register of Mediators, No. 20060414003.
Georgieva is a specialist in the protection of copyright and related rights, with over 30 years of experience in the field, making her one of the leading experts in the country. She has provided legal services for various types of artists and radio and television organizations in the field of copyright and related rights, as well as has about 15 years of experience in legal services to the collective management organization (CMM) "ArtistAuthor".
Adv. Georgieva is a national and European representative of industrial property in trademarks, patents, and designs. In this regard, it provides representation in registrations, transfers, licensing, consulting services, and provides legal assistance under Bulgarian and European legislation in the field of the mentioned industrial property objects, as well as has experience in protecting company secrets, franchise agreements, and know-how contracts. She is also a long-time trusted legal advisor to commercial companies.

Ivanka Georgieva has been a part-time lecturer in intellectual property law at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), as well as at the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). She is a co-author of the Guide "Intellectual Property Law and EU Customs Law" in the project "Increasing the competence and professional qualification of judges, prosecutors and investigators, as well as of the administrative heads of the judicial authorities through the organization and provision of trainings by the Supreme Judicial Council".
In 1998, attorney-at-law Georgieva founded the Copyright Foundation. From 1999 to 2001, she was an assistant manager at KPMG Bulgaria. She was a manager and partner in the companies "Serdica Law House" and "Serdica International Law Firm", with many years of cooperation with Romanian and Greek lawyers.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Free Lawyers.
